Among other things, you can visit the best-preserved amphitheater (arena) built under Emperor Augustus. In summer there are almost daily events with well-known national and international artists such as Joe Cocker, Eros Ramazzoti, Luciano Pavarotti and other music groups.

The daily market is highly recommended due to its southern, Mediterranean flair not far from the pedestrian zone in the old town. The market offers a wide range of locally grown fruit and vegetables, as well as freshly caught fish and other goods

There are more than five hundred different species of Mediterranean plants and over twenty varieties of free-growing orchids on the peninsula. Beautiful bathing bays invite you to swim and dive. You can watch cliff divers daringly jump into the crystal blue sea.

The holiday season in Istria is as varied as the country itself. Even if you first think of crystal clear water, light blue skies and lots sun, the Adriatik Sea offers much more.
